Our initial goal was to deliver a better approach to Sony's (then) current e-learning strategy whilst maintaining efficiency in cost and improving lead times for the release of content throughout the year. This of course presents many challenges considering the number of languages and countries to support amongst the various requirements from different areas of the world, without mentioning a strong requirement to follow the Fortune 500 company's ethos and communication guidelines throughout.
increase value proposition
improve the cost effective on their current solution
improve lead times
change the current approach to be more centralised
improve cost effeciency
increase the attention of the users & learning for each course

Considering an existing E-learning initiative was already in place, our approach was to disregard this and focus at the goals at hand which meant holding various meetings with the key stakeholders involved, collating their feedback and reviewing along side the latest user feedback from of their existing offering.
We then questioned how the current offering achieved the desired goals and proposed how we can deliver and even expand on them them significantly.
Only then, could we align with the client on the actual deliverables. This ended up being a new e-learning platform, mobile application and various tools to assist with content creation & translations. Reporting was also a key factor in all aspects which ended up growing into an element of itself. The E-learning courses had to be on-brand, distributable in popular e-learning formats such as SCORM 1.2 / 2004 and also integrated with various platforms with other bespoke requirements.
We consulted with our clients to clearly establish the target audience and then we identified and worked through the current pain points.
We do want to establish with the client the alignment on the key priorities.
After highlighting the problems, finding the solutions comes naturally because of our alignment with the clients expectations.

After the requirements were made clear, out came the whiteboard and sketchpads!
Given the scale of the client and our proposed approach, there were many variations of design of the deliverables but more importantly the 'design' of our proposed strategy into how the content would be delivered and actually be seen.
We felt that this was important in itself, so, along with design concepts came many flow charts and sample reports with carefully suggested direction. This was key into having a mutual alignment with the client on how the content delivery would run on a day to day basis (and not just for launch!).
Since we were not only creating the tools that the content would 'live' on but also the actual content itself; we also took the opportunity to suggest an overhaul on the way certain pieces of information would be presented along with some user testing along the way to validate the suggestions.
We then started sketching ideas and anallyzuing the product with our team with any possible outcomes.
This resulted with several ideas, with careful considerations, we studied the best and optimal solution for the project.
In order to achieve better results, we made tests and iterate the design process before having a strong result.

At this point the established requirements and designs at hand forms a complete alignment and is in a position to sign-off to start building. Here's where the magic happens.
Throughout our build process it was a of utmost importance to stick to a timeline. At various points we held review meetings with stakeholders and also security tests along the way both internally and externally.
Once complete, we then had to localise the initial content and E-learning platform (into 11+ languages!).
We tested on the various browsers, platforms and devices, resolving issues and iterating as needed. Alongside, final security tests were done and we went live. In budget and on time (just!). As part of our plan, the first 3 months we adapted and aggressively iterated both content and tools according to end user usage patterns and feedback across the organisation.

A key element of E-learning is to report on user results, usage and benefit. Our proposition included a wide range of reporting all of which aid not only the client but also the end user's themselves to analyse performance and make informed decisions.
